dipmicro are a small, quirky, online electronic parts vendor based in Ontario, CANADA.
They carry a modest but useful selection of DIP integrated circuits (PICs, AVRs, some HC logic, common op-amps), leaded passives and semiconductiors (LEDs, bipolar and MOSFET transistors, diodes, voltage regulators), and a few surface-mount parts (SOIC ICs, surface-mount resistors and diodes, maybe others).
At the moment they are my go-to place for through-hole prototyping basics:
- proto boards (good for DIP and SOIC parts)
- LEDs (including very bright white ones) – these seem very cheap compared to elsewhere on the Web
- crystals
- leaded resistors
- USB connectors (esp full-size B connectors)
- header pins
They were the main source of parts for my JS16 USB board.
